The Lighthouse Project Presents: Him_Self_Her

Sunday, 20 April, 2014 - 22:00
Sin City Swansea

After a quiet couple of weeks, The LHP is back on Easter Bank Holiday Sunday with a new look, new venue and seriously hot act to kick things off.

We loved running the previous two events in Mumbles, where we were able to bring some life back into the local scene. However, we felt that the night had out-grown the venue and we needed something a bit bigger to meet the demand of the crowd, having sold out both events. We have seen how Sin City run music events and know that this is the best place to accommodate our needs.

Him_self_Her, the dynamic duo of Claire and Leon, are renowned for infusing all genres of underground house, from deep grooves, to driving tech - right through to disco enhanced techno. They love to play with bold house vocals, be it through well sourced samples or self penned hits.

Best known for their release 'Gone Too Long' on Cream Couture records in 2012, the track spent 11 weeks at No.1 in the Beatport New Disco chart, and spent a mind blowing 7 months in the top 10.

Support came from the likes of Pete Tong, who billed it as his 'Essential New Tune' and Jamie Jones, who played it in his Hot Creations closing set at DC10. The track was soon picked up by Damian Lazarus, who has since signed the pair to Crosstown Rebels.

In the mean time their studio has been kept busy with releases for Eskimo, Love Matters, Runnin' Wild, Love Not Money and Circle Records - all achieving Beatport charting and peer respect from the likes of Pete Tong, Hot Since 82, Solomun, H.O.S.H, Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and Sandy Rivera.

Along with Him_Self_Her, the LHP residents Neil Navarra and Tom Francis will be back with their eclectic mix of house music which will be, as always, handsomely delivered with their energetic personalities that will get the crowd moving in an instant.

We are also looking forward to welcoming our good friend Lucas Alexander for the first time from Mi Casa, Cardiff. As well as running his own extremely successful night, 'Pro' is renowned for being one of the best DJ's in Cardiff who always delivers.
